Rock-n-Roll (Monday , March 18)

Last night I finally made it to what is pretty much the city's only nightclub -- Elevate -- for a Jack Daniel's sponsored rock awards night. As far as I can make out it appeared to be a duel between competing Metallica and Floyd tribute bands. When the winners were announced, the emcees played the theme from Rocky, or sometimes for a change, from Star Wars. As my friend said to me before passing out on the free whiskey in the V.I.P. section: College disco night.
